King RAT Motorsports Signs on as 2006 Title Sponsor |

The East Coast Honda Challenge is pleased to announce that King RAT Motorsports has signed on to become the title sponsor for the 2006 season. King RAT Motorsports has been involved with the East Coast Honda Challenge since the series inception in 2002. "We're honored to have the support of a company held in such high regard within our racing community as King Rat Motorsports . This involvement from King Rat Motorsports further demonstrates their high level of support towards our series"; said Jason Franza, ECHC director. "We are very happy to step up to be the title sponsor for the series this year," said Alex Ratcliffe, team owner of King RAT Motorsports . "We have been involved in the East Coast Honda Challenge since it's inception in 2002 both as competitors and sponsors. Honda Challenge has played a part in our business growth and we feel that adding this sponsorship enhances our current programs with NASA in 2006 which include sponsorship of the Spec Miata Challenge and our race car programs". King RAT secured its first wins and championship in Honda Challenge in 2002 and 2003 with Alex taking the 2003 H3 crown in an undefeated season. Kim Ratcliffe currently competes in H5 in the SM Consulting sponsored Honda Civic Si in which she took to her first victory last year at Carolina Motorsports Park. About King RAT Motorsports LLC King RAT Motorsports is a race winning Mazda Miata-Honda/Acura race preparation shop. Husband and wife owners Alex and Kim Ratcliffe both hold multiple competition racing licenses. Alex has driven professionally in Grand Am Cup, MazdaSpeed Miata Cup and is the 2003 East Coast Honda Challenge H3 class champion and Driver of the Year. In 2004, Alex participated in the SCCA Pro Racing MazdaSpeed Miata Cup presented by Hankook Tires and serves as series director for NASA Mid-Atlantic's Spec Miata Challenge series. Kim Ratcliffe has driven in the 944 Cup series and currently competes in a Honda Civic in the East Coast Honda Challenge H5 class. |
